SODA" stands for "Students OK Without Drugs or Alcohol." and is part of the youth sub-group of the VCC (Valley Community Coalition).   SODA is a group of Valley Community School students in grades 7-12 who are choosing not to participate in underage alcohol and drug use.  The VCC reaches out to the communities of Clermont, Elgin, Wadena and surrounding areas. Members support their peers by encouraging and promoting a safe and healthy lifestyle free from alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.

SODA members are asked to make a commitment to being drug-free by completing and signing a SODA Pledge Form once per school year.

Anyone in grades 7-12 who attends Valley Community Schools can join SODA.  There are no membership fees, just the requirement to stay in good membership status with the group by attending monthly meetings and activities sponsored by SODA.

If you are interested in volunteering for SODA please fill out the SODA Helper Form and return it to Annette Butikofer or VCC Office.
