B. Youth Subgroup/SODA report
-Movie Theater Ad- Annette presented a proposed the SODA movie theater ad. Some suggestions were to use pictures of people with alcohol that we not representing a good time.  Annette stated that she has had trouble finding pictures of people with alcohol having a bad time. Was discussed to change to it from a negative to a positive “If you want to be at your best, then come be our guest”, with pictures of athletics and SODA activities.

- SODA is offering a Yoga class on Saturday July 10 in the morning at the Young Center.
- Annette has had some parents asking when the youth center will be open and how many days it can be open.  It could be open every day but there needs to chaperones for the kids attending. With the upcoming 6th graders coming to the youth center, hopefully some parents will volunteer to chaperone a night at the youth center. If the parents of the every student took one Saturday night a year we would be filled up for 5 years. Chaperoning is a minimal job, just watch the kids and make sure they don’t break anything.

- SODA Leadership Team will be going to Ewalu and then will plan out SODA events and activities for the year.
- SODA would like magnets for their lockers; Magnets were approved if they come out of SODA’s account.

C. Initiative Update- Initiative reporting will now be presented in this form; it is called Strategic Planning Framework (SPF).  This is how our grants are set up and how we report on them.  The Steering Team will be receiving training on SPF.
