Become a Mentor

Want to spend quality time with youth and make a difference in the life of a young person?  You can become part of the Valley Mentoring Program.  Mentors spend 4-6 hours a month in one-on-one contact together doing fun and exciting activities with their youth partner.

This program matches up an interested adult with K-12^th grade Valley Students.   After an interview, screening and training process, our Mentoring Coordinator, Cassie Peterson, will match you with a youth in our community who would benefit from a mentoring relationship.

Programs goals and objectives

1. To help strengthen youth by placing positive adult role models in their lives.
2. Reduce Drug and Alcohol abuse among our youth.
3. Help nurture and support current matches throughout the year.
4. Provide trainings to educate the mentors and mentees about issues surrounding mentoring.
5. Provide activities every other month as a way to get matches together.
