Mentoring

Overview of
Valley Community Coalition (VCC)
Mentoring Program

Want to spend quality time with youth and make a difference in the life of a young person?  You can become part of the Valley Mentoring Program.  Mentors spend 4-6 hours a month in one-on-one contact together doing fun and exciting activities with their youth partner.

This program matches up an interested adult with a student in grades 1-7.   After an interview, screening and training process, our Mentoring Coordinator, Cassie Friederich  will match you with a youth in our community who would benefit from a mentoring relationship.

Family activities are offered every other month to families and mentors. Enjoy fun activities and meet new people. Attendance is not required, but appreciated.
Some of the activities included for whole group/family activity are: go swimming, bowling, roller skating, go to a movie, horseback riding, utilize the nature trails in our area.  Suggestions and new ideas are always welcome.
