The Steering Team consists of two parts: leaders and
representatives.
Steering Team representatives have volunteered to represent
each community within the Valley Community
Coalition (VCC) (communities of Clermont, Elgin, and Wadena,
Iowa and surrounding communities).
Steering Team leaders handle responsibilities like writing
checks and approving requests for reimbursement of funds. Steering
Team leaders also carry out other executive duties such as signing
paperwork that is required for grants, setting agendas, leading
Steering Team meetings, and in general, "steering" the future of the
VCC.
Steering Team invites anyone with a passion to move the VCC
forward to join. Meetings are an open forum that meets
monthly, 1st Tuesday at 5:00 pm, generally at Valley Media Center
(in the summer it is usually a church location). Planning and
talking about important issues regarding the VCC is central to these
meetings. Youth contribute valuable input into the Steering Team
meetings, as well.
